Friday Notes #33 — Be wary of the silent blogger
Writing takes time.
I’ve been quiet on my main blog in recent weeks. I’m not anxious about this because I have a pretty good excuse for this situation. It’s not because of a lack of interest or ideas, quite the opposite, actually. If my blog posts have been scarce recently, it’s because I’ve been working for quite some time on much longer than usual posts (five to be exact). They require a lot of research, documentation, experimentation, testing and write-up. This takes time. I like to work on many blog posts at once. I’m an iterative kind of writer and having many pieces in the pipeline helps me refine them to my liking, by visiting each of them many times a week, for tweaking and proofreading. Oh, and I almost forgot, I’m working on my monthly newsletter too.
Lastly, it’s summertime, taking a pause, trying to get away from screens is a good habit.
