My Online Presence
Where does the “Numeric Citizen” name come from and why this is related to finding my newsletter niche?
I’ve been asked a few times where does the “Numeric Citizen” name come from? In order to answer this question, I have to talk about my online presence first. The following diagram shows a summary of where I’m posting my content online (articles, shorter posts, photos, link posts, etc.).
As you can see, I do have a lot of “homes” online. Taken as a whole, coupled with all the scouting I do on the internet, you can probably see me as a numeric citizen. That’s the whole concept behind my name online. I like to see me as an open minded, curious guy scouting the web for new things to learn and experiment. Most of my efforts are concentrated around my preferred themes: Apple, digital photography, privacy protection and climate change. I read a lot of stuff online. I see a lot of things too. Now, why am I explaining all of this you might ask? Well, I’m glad you asked.
In order to be able to find the niche I want to occupy with my upcoming newsletter, I wanted to take a step back and reflect about my online presence. The way I process content and eventually get “sparked” by things I stumble upon on the web is important to me. Have you seen my Blogger Workflow?
The question now comes to this: in what other way can I help others benefit from all my readings and discoveries? Stay tuned because I think I might have a definitive answer.
