Friday Notes #38 — The Things I Don’t Do Enough
Searching for the reasons I'm skipping on a lot of things.
Recently, I’ve been thinking a lot about how I’m spending my personal time. I realized that there are many things that I don’t do enough, or not at all, for whatever reasons. Here is a quick rundown:
- Watching YouTube videos
- Watching Netflix series
- Watching Apple TV+ content
- Listening to music
- Reading books
Why is that? I hear so often someone talking about a movie, a book, a Netflix series. Why am I unable to talk about those things? Why consuming these types of content is not part of my weekly routine? I recently cancelled my Disney+ subscription because I didn’t take advantage of it. Speaking of subscriptions, here is a question: am I alone who cannot really take advantage of many subscriptions? Here is another list of subscriptions that I don’t take enough advantage of while still paying for:
- SoundCloud
- DJay Pro
- PocketCast (Castro before that, Apple’s Podcasts before, etc.)
- Vimeo
- Apple TV+
- Mindful meditation “Petit Bamboo”
- YouTube (this subscription disables any ads in the middle of any videos that I’m watching).
- And a few more.
Why is that? How am I spending my time, then? Well, I’ve been searching for answers recently and started to put together tools that will help me find answers. I’m still working on it, but soon I’ll share the fruits of my work.
