There was a frozen lake at the top of the mountain.

Life is made of tiny stories and experiences. I recently went for a hike in the forest with a dear friend of mine. It was a long one, a bit over three hours of walking in a snowy and small mountain (less than 500 m in height). I wasn’t confident that I would be up for the ride, but it went pretty well. The weather was perfect, with no winds and close to zero Celsius, even if we didn’t get to see as much sun as we hoped for. The surroundings were beautiful, but chatting with my friend along the way about life was the cherry on the cake. Near the end, we together concluded that even though this hike had been challenging at times, this is the same experience that makes us feel alive and well. It was a joyful moment. I’m so grateful for this experience.
