Apple’s Mail.app is known to be very buggy in iOS 13 beta cycle. Even at version 13.1 beta 1, things are not looking good yet. But there is another problem that is making this version of Mail.app very frustrating to use. Consider the following two screenshots.
On the left, this is what we get while reading an email. At the bottom, on the right, there is this action button to Reply. Well, this is what the icon seems to imply. How do I flag or move this email to a folder? Well, hitting the « Reply » button reveals a whole bunch of actions. My question to Apple designers: why not use the white space (highlighted in yellow here) on the left of the trash for other frequently used actions? What is the problem in using available space and make it quicker for the user to take action? Baffling.
